Seed Software was originally set up three years ago as a means for Computer Science graduates to gain work experience which would lead to employment. It performs contract software development for companies, and also has a highly successful product line which provides communication facilities for the emergency services.

You can find out more about the Seed Software here.

From an undergraduate point of view Seed Software is interesting for two reasons. One is that it provides a good way for students who have completed our course to get work experience which will make them highly employable. The second reason is that work in Seed Software is now an integral part of our taught masters qualification.

Seed has had great success in finding good jobs for students. As well as the work experience you also receive training in CV preparation and interview skills. Several companies now regard Seed as the first place to look when they need new staff.
