We offer four year versions of many of our courses. These lead to an MEng, a Masters level qualification in their subject. You might be wondering if it is worth taking a four year option. We have found that employers often prefer students with a masters level qualification, particularly if they can be convinced that the fourth year of the course was spent acquiring useful skills.

Students on our four year taught masters courses spend a third of their time on the course working in Seedsoft, our internal software development company. During that time they work on a variety of projects which are based on commercial work being undertaken by the company and can gain experience of professional development which stands them in very good stead when applying for jobs.

However, there is actually no need to decide at the start of the course whether or not you wish to take the four year option. The choice can be made much later in your studies, even up the the end of your third year.
