Computer Science at Hull

The department in Hull is based on the third floor of the Robert Blackburn building on the University of Hull campus in Hull. This is where our staff offices and research laboratories are located. You can see a picture of our building in the gallery. We have just had the entire floor revamped, and we think it now looks rather spiffy.

We have around 130 or so students in each year of our courses, spread over the various options that we teach. We like to think that we teach our favourite subject very well and have been praised in numerous quality appraisals for doing just that.

Our staff engage in both research and teaching, and the research we do appears in the taught course in the form of specialist options in the final year and also final year projects.

As well as undergraduate courses we also offer a range of post graduate subjects in Visualisation, Games Development and Distributed Development using .NET. This year we are starting two new coures, an undergraduate course "Computing and Psychology" and a postrgraduate course, "Distributed Software Development using .NET for Financial Systems".
